My Favorite Scenes: Jurassic Park – T-Rex vs. Raptors

My friends, once again it is time for “My Favorite Scenes” which if you still don’t get it is the sort of “series” I got on my blog where I share scenes I really like from movies/TV. And this time we are having a look at the climax of the Steven Spielberg classic “Jurassic Park” (Sidenote: Yes, this is to commemorate the release of “Jurassic World”). And in this scene we see our heroes (Sam Neill, Laura Dern and the two kids) running from some raptors. And if you for whatever reason have not seen “Jurassic Park” yet you should go away. Also, if you have not seen “Jurassic Park” yet I will hurt you. I’ll give you three seconds. Three, two, one, no more seconds! But as they’re getting chased they get to the foyer of the park and it seems like they are surrounded, no where to go. But then their savior comes in the surprsining form of the Tyrannosaurus Rex that tried to yum yum them earlier. This scene is so classic because it is just an awesomely amazing way to end a movie. And there are two shots in this scene that I just aboslutely love. The first one is when the T-Rex throws the last raptor into the giant skeleton, mainly because it looked kinda cool. The second one is when the T-Rex simply stands there and gives us a victory roar and that is because it feels so classic and timeless and because it is just fucking epic! Now with all this bullshit said…

My Favorite Scenes: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang – Who taught you math?

Yo! It is time again for me to share a scene that I like from a movie/TV-show with you again. And this time we are sharing one of many hilarious scenes from the 2005 dark comedy “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” directed by Shane Black. In this scene we see our “heroes” Harry (Robert Downey Jr) and Gay Perry (Val Kilmer) captured. And after that, hilarity ensues. All I say is…

My Favorite Scenes: The Guest – Bar Fight

Ladies, gentlemen and others, here we are! We are once again, after a long-ish time, taking a gander at the series “My Favorite Scenes” in which I share my favorite scenes or at least scenes that I really like from movies and TV. And this time we are taking a look at a scene in the surprisingly awesome thriller “The Guest”. In this scene we see David (Dan Stevens) kick the shit out of some bullies/assholes in a bar. And that is all I will say as this scene is awesome and if you have not seen the movie, then go see the movie!

My Favorite Scenes: Gone Baby Gone – Opening Monologue

Guten abend, good evening, buonasera, buenas tardes, god kv√§ll everyone! What? You mean you have never tried on more linguistic approaches to your posts? Fuck it, anyway, welcome back to “My Favorite Scenes” where I share my favorite scenes in movies/TV. Today we are taking a look at the opening scene from the movie that made us go “Woaw… Ben Affleck CAN make a good movie”. In this scene we get several gorgeous shots of a suburban area in Boston in combination with a beautiful piece of music by Harry Gregson-Williams. We also get a fantastic and beautiful monologue about life and family from Casey Affleck. I love this scene and it was a great set up for a great movie.

My Favorite Scenes: Confessions of a Dangerous Mind – Can’t Help Falling in Love

Hello people! I know, I know. Two posts the same day and also pretty tight on each other, it is annoying. But I felt like I had to share this one thing. As you know, this “series” was created for me to be able to share My Favorite Scenes from movies/TV with you guys. And I just reviewed a movie with an (in my opinion) incredible scene that I just had to share. It is a scene from the 2002 biographical crime-comedy “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” that features our main guy Chuck Barris (Sam Rockwell) looking at his life while someone at his game show/talents show sings “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley (Pretty awfully if you ask me). But having the imagery in combination with the song jsut resonated with me so well that I couldn’t help falling in love with it (See what I did there?). I love this scene and I hope you do to… after you see the movie of course.

My Favorite Scenes: Angel – Season 5 – Puppet vs. Spike

How are you guys doing today? “My Favorite Scenes” is back… again. Time to share another scene that I like from any movie/show/thing. And what is it this time? This time it is the “fight” from the fifth season of fantasy/action show “Angel” (Sidenote: “Angel” is a spinoff from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) between titular character Angel (David Boreanaz) and my personal favorite character Spike (James Marsters). The twist? Angel has been turned into a puppet and that makes this “fight” really hilarious. If you haven’t seen “Angel” yet then I suggest you should, it’s a great show. Just remember that it can be very episodic. You might also want to watch the first few seasons of “Buffy” to get the full backstory. Anyway, I love this scene and it cracks me up everytime.

My Favorite Scenes: Captain America: The Winter Soldier – Elevator Scene

Hello, friends! I’m here again to share a scene from a movie/show/thing with you that I highly enjoyed. And what do we have this time? We have the badass elevator scene from the badass action movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. In this scene we see Cap (Chris Evans) trying to fight a bunch of people who he thought he could trust. This scene is how action should be done when either in a confined space or in general. I really enjoyed this scene and I hope you do to!

My Favorite Scenes: X-Men Days of Future Past – Quicksilver Kitchen Scene

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great saturday! This time on “My Favorite Scenes” I will share the amazing scene from 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” that features Speedy Gonzales himself, Quicksilver (Evan Peters). If you have not seen the movie yet you are missing out on not only a great movie but also the best rendition of Quicksilver we’ve gotten in any movie/cartoon ever. In this scene he and his fellow mutants try to escape the Pentagon but get attacked by security guards in the kitchen. So what happens? Quicksilver saves the day by running around and doing awesome things to the tune of “Time in a Bottle” by Jim Croce. This scene is all kinds of great and I highly recommend seeing the movie if you have not.

My Favorite Scenes: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – Hoist the Colors

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and good night to you people of the world! I am here to share with you another one of my favorite scenes from a movie. And what is it this time? Well this time it is the opening scene from “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”. First I will give my quick thoughts on the movie; It is entertaining, it is worth watching if you enjoyed the first two. Now to the scene itself. It is dark, haunting and just great. Probably the best scene in the entire movie (if you ask me). You have the British people hanging people who have taken part in piracy. Not only is the cinematography great, but the mood is jsut dark and depressing, which I like. But the scene truly becomes geat and even powerful when that little kid who is about to get hung starts singing the song “Hoist the Colors”. It really helps set the mood perfectly. And then when all the people joins in it just gets amazing… and then ends in a mass hanging. I simply love this scene and think it is worth sharing because of it’s sheer impact on me.

My Favorite Scenes: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island – Terror Time

Hello my friends! I am here and I am ready to share one of my favorite scenes again. And this time it is from the animated movie “Scooby Doo on Zombie Island”. I remember watching it a lot of times as a kid and loving it. I have always been a big fan of Scooby Doo. I would even dare to say the live action movies are two of my guilty pleasures. But today those are not on the menu, it is one of the best Scooby Doo movies ever made. In the scene we are looking at we see the gang get chased around by zombies while the awesome song “Terror Time” by Skycycle plays in the background. This scene is awesome and it has gotten me pumped to see the movie again some time soon.
