Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars, give me those Star Wars, don’t let them end! Oh, hello there. Trailer time!
So as you have seen all over the internet, it’s seriously impossible to miss, we now have a trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, the next installment in this amazing religio- I mean franchise. So if you haven’t seen “The Force Awakens” (you fucking cave dweller), some spoilers coming up. Okay? 3, 2, 1, go! So this seems to pick up right after the moment at the end of “The Force Awakens” where Rey (Daisy Ridley) has found Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on that big rock in the middle of fucking nowhere. And she seems to be training with him and there’s some space battles and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) looks really pissed and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) is still the most handsome man in the galaxy. Oh, and the trailer ends with a really ominous line that I think will be really interesting to see elaborated upon when the movie comes out. So what did I think? It was a cool trailer for a movie that I would’ve watched regardless because it’s motherfucking “Star Wars”! So yeah, I’m pretty fucking excited for this! “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to come out around christmas of this year.
What are your thoughts? Are you excited about “The Last Jedi”? And what did you think about “The Force Awakens”? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!
Hello there, ladies and gents! Another interesting trailer has come out so now I will talk about it.
We have now gotten a trailer for “Thor: Ragnarok”, the third part in Marvel Studios “Thor” series and the 17th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m not the biggest fan of the first two “Thor” movies, but I was still interested to see what they’d do for this third installment of his solo series. So what do we have here? So in this movie, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) gets captured by the evil Hela (Cate Blanchett) and then gets forced to fight Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in a big arena. So basically it’s “Gladiator” with a lot more color and much less wheat. And all this weirdness is set to Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”. So what did I think? Holy fucking shit, this looks like so much fun! Badass action, fancy effects… JEFF GOLDBLUM! Yeah, I was a little skeptical about it before, but now I am pretty damn excited. “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to be released in late October of this year.
What are your thoughts? Are you excited about “Thor: Ragnarok”? What do you think about the other “Thor” movies? And just for fun, what’s your favorite Led Zeppelin song (if you’ve listened to them)? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!
Hello there, ladies and gents of the internet. I hope you’re all having a good day. Now… let’ talk about a teaser!
So we finally have a teaser trailer for the second season of “Preacher”, the AMC series based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon (R.I.P). Quick recap: Jesse Custer is a preacher in Texas who receives supernatural powers and then a bunch of crazy shit happens. Alright, recap over. So there will be some minor spoilers for season 1 in this post, so if you haven’t seen it but want to go in blind, maybe leave this post now. Alright? Sounds good? I’m not gonna stall for too long. 3. 2. 1.
So after the explosive ending of season, we find Jesse (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) going on a road trip to literally find god. And then it seems like crazy shit will happen. So what do I think? Well, it looks like it will be as weird as season 1 and god damn, I am so fucking excited! I loved the first season of “Preacher”, so I was already excited for season 2. And now that we’ve gotten an official look at it I am even more excited! “Preacher” season 2 is set to premiere June 25th of this year on AMC.
What are your thoughts? Are you excited for “Preacher” season 2? And what did you think of season 1? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy!
Hello there, ladies and gentlemen! As you know, sometimes certain trailers come out and I then talk about them. Well, it happened again, so here we fucking go!
So as the title of this post suggests, we have now gotten a trailer for the American live action adaptation of “Death Note”. For anyone that is unaware, “Death Note” is a Manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It follows Japanese high school student Light Yagami who one day finds a mysterious notebook called “Death Note”. And very soon he finds out that he can use this notebook to kill people. An he starts using this to kill criminals. And what follows is a supernatural thriller that really is an exporation of morality and unchecked power. As with most mangas, it got turned into an animated series by Japanese animation studio Madhouse. And if you’re wondering, yes I’ve seen the series, and I think it’s great. Alright that’s kind of the backstory of this franchise. We good? Great! So now let’s talk about this trailer. So the basic premise seems to be the same, only now it’s set in the United States. So now his name is Light Turner (Nat Wolff) instead of Light Yagami. And what do I think of this trailer? Uhm… yeah, it’s not great. One of the worst parts was towards the end of the trailer where a fucking ferris wheel start falling apart and you see Light hanging on for dear life. Yeah, that’s just dumb. I’m all for re-imagining characters and stories in various settings, but I don’t like the “let’s add stupid action to it” angle. “Death Note” is a psychological thriller with a supernatural twist, and that’s what made it compelling. No big and stupid action set pieces… just suspenseful situations. Sure, the show had some action scenes, but nothing as big and dumb as a fucking ferris wheel crumbling. They seem to overall put a bit more of an action-thriller spin on it, which could be fine if they didn’t try so hard to make it… dumbed down and bloated. The best part of the trailer is at the end when you see the silhouette of Ryuk (Willem Dafoe) and he says “Shall we begin?”. For one, Dafoe is the perfect choice for the character. And secondly, I love Ryuk, he’s a really great character. What’s also interesting to note (pun intended) is that this movie is directed by Adam Wingard, the man behind the awesomely awesome “The Guest”. I don’t have much else to say on that, I just thought it was worth noting (pun intended). So am I excited about this? I don’t know… I am VERY skeptical about this, but who knows… it MIGHT be okay. “Death Note” (the rebootification) is set to come out on August 25th this year, only on Netflix.
So what are your thoughts? Are you excited about “Death Note” (the rebootification)? And are you a fan of the manga/anime/Japanese live action movies? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy.
Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. It’s time to once again talk about a trailer.
The Super Bowl was this weekend, and as someone who doesn’t like sports, I didn’t give two shits. The only thing about it that was exciting to me was the potential trailers that could come out of it. And it’s delivered with our first look the second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things”. For anyone that’s been living under a rock for the past year, “Stranger Things” is a Netflix original scifi/mystery series heavily influenced by 1980s Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season, so I was excited when an ad for season 2 came out during the Super Bowl. So what do we see in this 30 second trailer/ad? Well… a lot of intensity and interesting stuff. Like I said, it’s only 30 second s long, and the shots are very rapidly edited, possibly to avoid too many spoilers. That said, I’m really looking forward to this. “Stranger Things” season 2 is set to come out on Halloween (spooky) of this year.
What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to the second season of “Stranger Things”? And what do you think of the first season? leave any and all answers in the comments.
Enjoy the trailer.
New trailer, better talk about it!
So it seems that we now have a trailer (or teaser, but fuck that) for “Blade Runner 2049”, the sequel to the amazing 1982 sci-fi movie starring Harrison Ford. So what is this trailer about? Well, it has Ryan Gosling walking…. and walking… and walking. Until he finds a huge building, and in there he finds Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford). And that’s it. We also get some narration from Ford and some gorgeous footage of the future. And really, there’s not much more to it… and that’s what I love. Give us a taste of the tone/vibe of the movie and nothing else. We don’t have to see everything that will happen. This trailer is a perfect example of how to advertise a movie! Now, I didn’t expect a trailer to be out this soon, but I’m not complaining. It’s a great trailer and I am happy that we got it now. It’s like an early christmas present. I’m just really surprised that we got it this soon. Oh well, they’re probably gonna fuck it over with some other trailer later on that shows way too much and ruins it all for us. But let’s stop being pessimistic, and talk about something slightly more positive. I was not excited for this movie at all, the original “Blade Runner” (or at least the “Final Cut” version) is a sci-fi masterpiece, and I never wanted a sequel to it. But after the crew was revealed and then also after seeing this trailer, I am kind of excited about it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not gonna completely throw myself at it, but I feel a little bit more confident in it now. “Blade Runner 2049” is set to be released in October of 2017.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you excited about “Blade Runner 2049”? And what do you think of the OG movie? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments.
Trailers… trailers everywhere!
Hello there, ladies and gents. As you may have understood, we now have a trailer for “War for the Planet of the Apes”, the third part in this reboot/prequel trilogy of “Apes” movies. Before we get into the trailer itself I want to mention that I am a big fan of the last two movies, they both had exciting ideas, amazing visual effects, and a surprising amount of emotion. And now at last we can see what the next step in this series is. So here we once again follows the super intelligent ape Caesar (Andy Serkis) as he leads his pack of apes. We get various shots of apes and humans as there is a voice-over from Caesar, like a conversation. And then there is all out war between apes and humans and this movie looks AWESOME! I am glad that Matt Reeves returned to direct this one because he did “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and that movie was pretty fantastic. It had great action, but also a very well told story that had moments that may or may not have made me cry. And this movie looks to be a bit more action-packed while still having some tense drama to it. So yeah… I’m god damn excited for this movie! “War for the Planet of the Apes” is set to be released in July of 2017.
So what are your thoughts? Are you excited about “War for the Planet of the Apes”? And what’s your favorie movie in the entire “Apes” franchise? Leave any and all answers in the comments!

I know, I know, two trailer posts in such rapid succession, but I’m sorry. New York Comic Con is at large and seems to be putting out some pretty cool stuff for us folks who couldn’t attend. So let’s talk about this.
So we now have a trailer for “John Wick: Chapter 2”, a sequel to the surprisingly awesome 2014 action movie “John Wick”. Once again we have Keanu Reeves in a fancy suit, kicking some ass. We see practical stunts and badass shooty-bang-bang stuff and Laurence Fishburne is petting a pigeon for some reason. Long story short, this looks awesome and I can’t wait to see it. I mean, the first movie was such a surprise. It had great action, a surprisingly engaging story, cool cinematography, and the best performance that I have ever seen from Keanu Reeves. And this movie is done by pretty much the same crew, with a few added cast members. So yeah, this looks great and I highly anticipating it! “John Wick: Chapter 2” is set to be released in February of 2017.
So what are you thoughts on this? Are you looking forward to “John Wick: Chapter 2”? And what do you think of the first movie? Leave any and all answers in the comments.

They’ve got, a power and a force that you’ve never seen before. They’ve got, the ability to morph and to even out the score. Nooo one, can ever take them down. The power lies on their siiiiiide! GO GO, POWER RANGERS!
Hello there guys, and that’s correct, we now have a trailer for the 2017 movie reboot of “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers”. Only that this time they decided to simply call it “Power Rangers” because of course they have to confuse us. I mean, first thing they did was cast a black guy to play the blur ranger, which itself is no big deal… but they did the same thing in “Power Rangers: Dino Thunder”, so now my brain is just gonna focus on that. Also, what’s wrong with calling the new one “Mighty Morphin'”? I mean, I think it would actually make it sound even cooler but nope… no Morphin’ of Mighty Rangers. Sorry, I’m nitpicking here in a joke-y way… but I am a “Power Rangers” fan, and I pick up on tiny little details like that. So what is this movie all about for anyone who lived under a rock and didn’t know ANYTHING about the “Power Rangers”. Well, five teens with attitudes get recruited by the mighty Zordon (Bryan Cranston) to become “Power Rangers” so an evil witch named Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) from doing her evil shit. That’s basically it. That is the original premise of the show, and it seems like they are bringing that along for this new movie as well, with some slight changes. Firstly, the way they get their powers reminds me a lot of the movie “Chronicle”. Basically, they find alien stuff, they get super powers. In the original show, Zordon just asked his robot, Alpha 5 (Voiced in this new movie by Bill Hader) to bring in five teenagers to stop Rita. Ah, times were simpler once. Secondly, this isn’t colorful and campy like the original show, this looks like it’s a lot more serious which has both pros and cons to it. Pros, it won’t be as laughably dumb. Cons, it might not be as fun. Okay, it wasn’t as plural as I thought it would be… but still. Do I think this looks great? Not really. I wasn’t hooked by this. If you loved this trailer, great, you go ahead and love it! But me on the other hand… I’m staying a skeptic for a while. “Power Rangers” (the rebootification) is set to be released in March of 2017.
So what are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to “Power Rangers” (the rebootification)? And are a fan of the original show? Leave any and all answers in the comments.

Hello there, my friends. It is I, Captain Markus Guy and I’m gonna stop doing that because that was just dumb. Yeah, let’s talk about a new trailer.
So we have a trailer, or at least a teaser for “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”, the fifth installment of the movie franchise that got it’s head more and more up it’s own ass with every installment. Let me put it like this: I love the first movie. The second and first are very bloated but still very enjoyable. The fourth is one of the most forgettable movies I have ever seen… and now you have my thoughts on the series. So what is this new thing then? Well it’s a new movie where Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) has to find a magical thing… again. Same plot, new coat of paint. But I’ll give it this, the trailer doesn’t really give us any Jack Sparrow at all. Sure, he’s name-dropped and talked a little bit about by Brenton Thwaites and the always awesome Javier Bardem (who’s looking very spooky in this). And that’s about it. Not much to say since there’s not too much shown. We get some basic stuff combined with what we kind of know already, like the fact that Orlando Bloom will be making his return in this movie. So yeah… I don’t really have anything to say. I’m not really excited about this movie, though I am somewhat curious to see how it might turn out. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is set to be released in late May 2017.
So what are your thoughts on this? Are you excited for this new “Pirates” movie? And what are your thoughts on the franchise in general? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments.
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer.
