Watch Dogs Legion E3 2019 Trailer

I promise, some day soon, I’ll stop writing E3 posts. But for now… MORE E3 BULLSHIT, WEEEEEE!

So through E3, legendary video game developer Ubisoft has revealed “Watch Dogs Legion”, which is the third game in the action franchise. The first one was about a lonely hacker seeking revenge. The second one I never played, but looks to be about some hackerific street gang. And this one is apparently about a near-future London that is under a totalitarian rule, and you have to use your hacking skills in combination with a sense of resistance to unfuck Great Britain. Two things:
1. I’m excited to see a major open world title set in a British environment for once… no reason, just fun to get away from the states or wastelands a bit.
2. Did Guy Ritchie write this fucking trailer? Because I’m getting very “Snatch”-seque vibes from it.
Either way, this looks to be interesting. I enjoyed the first “Watch Dogs”, even though I recognize that it has a fair bit of flaws. And people tell me that the sequel is even better. So who know, maybe third time’s the charm? “Watch Dogs Legion” is set to be released March 6th 2020.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for “Watch Dogs Legion”? And fuck it… what’s your favorite Guy Ritchie movie? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments.
Have a good one and enjoy.

“Far Cry 5” E3 gameplay trailer!

Hello there, ladies and gents! More E3 stuff comin’ your way!

So about three weeks ago I talked about the announcement trailer for “Far Cry 5”, the seventh game in the “Far Cry” series. Well, now we have our first look at the gameplay of it thanks to E3. So it looks like most other “Far Cry” games but with more allies and instead of fighting crazy foreigners, you shoot cultist Americans in Montana. And it’s all set to “Boom Boom” by Big Head Todd & The Monsters. Firstly, that’s a great song, so this got a thumbgs up from me just for that. And secondly, fucking hell, this look like so much fun and I want to play it NOW!!! Again, it’s the craziness of “Far Cry”… but more. I mean, there seems to be dogfights in this game… DOGFIGHTS, in a “Far Cry” game! This will probably be my game of the year whenever I can get my hands on it… just because of even more crazy “Far Cry” shit being given to me! “Far Cry 5” is set to be released on February 27th 2018.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for “Far Cry 5”? And what’s your favorite game in the series (if you’ve played them)? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments.

“Assassin’s Creed Origins” E3 Trailer!

Hello there, guys. More E3 stuff coming your way, so let’s just get into it.

So thanks to E3 we have our first look at “Assassin’s Creed Origins”, the… 42nd(?) installment in the series. Jokes aside, I’m a huge “Assassin’s Creed” fan, so I’m happy to get more of these games. Long story short: Two factions (Assassins and Templars) have been fighting forever because there’s something called pieces of Eden, magic items which could help one rule the world. Templars want to be assholes and do that, and Assassins don’t want the world to be ruled. Then in the future they’re still going at it. Though this time they also have a machien called The Animus which can make a person relive his or her ancestor’s memories because convoluted DNA bullshit. Alright, enough of that. It seems like the series is bringing it back qutie a bit, at least storywise. This time it’s set in ancient Egypt, and it seems like that’s where the Assassins truly began. So now we follow some ancient Assassin dude as he fights to… save the world or something. The gameplay looks like an updated version of the fighting style we’ve gotten used to over the years and I’m okay with that. It also seems like they’re adding more of an RPG element to it. And also in the cinematic part of this trailer there is a giant fucking snake for some reason… because ancient Egypt apparently had that (probably not). Snakes aside, I am excited for this. Like I said, I’m a huge “Assassin’s Creed” fan and this game overall looks like it could be fun. “Assassin’s Creed Origins” is set to be released on October 27th 2017. Basically October is the month of my wallet absolutely hating me.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for “Assassin’s Creed Origins”? And what’s your favorite game in the series (if you’ve played them)? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!

“Far Cry 5” Announcement Trailer!!!

Hello there, my friends. Another trailer has been released and I’m gonna talk about it!

So we have gotten our first trailer forĀ “Far Cry 5”, the seventh installment in Ubisoft’s first person shooter series. And yes, you read that right, the game with a 5 in the title is the seventh one. Because between “Far Cry 4” and this one, we had “Far Cry Primal” which was set 10000 B.C. And after “Far Cry 3” we got a spin-off game called “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon”, which lampooned 80s sci-fi/action movies, going so far as to star Michael Biehn. Now, weird release order aside, let’s talk about the game at hand, “Far Cry 5”. This game will be set in the fictional Hope County, Montana. Which of course means that it’s the first “Far Cry” to be set in the United States. And it seems like the villains of the game will be a group of crazy cultists who forces any person around into their religion. Now, there was a teaser image that was released the other day which sparked some controversy (found at the top of this post). I think the main thing about that controversy is that crazy antagonist(s) of this game seems to be white, “christian”, Americans. To those who say that this is a bad move by Ubisoft, go fuck yourselves, it’s just a game that is about a specific group of people, and not about EVERY white American christian out there. Sorry about that rant, people who have common sense, but I had to get it out there. Now, while this trailer is made to look as cinematic as possible, I can still imagine that the game can and will get as crazy as the trailer makes it out to be. I mean, I have played the shit out of both “Far Cry 3” and “Far Cry 4”, and times could get crazy in both of those. So yeah, this will probably get crazy, especially with gun-crazy Americans who also happen to be religious fanatics thrown into the mix. So I’m quite excited. “Far Cry 5” is set to be released in February of next year.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for “Far Cry 5”? And have you played any of the previous games? Leave any and all thoughts in the comments!
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!

“Watch Dogs 2” reveal trailer

Hello again. I know this is very tight between posts for my blog, but there’s enough interesting stuff being mentioned/announced/revealed at the moment to not talk about. And like earlier… time to talk video games!

So we finally have a trailer for “Watch Dogs 2”. I say finally because I have been waiting for something like this for god knows how long. As the title suggests, this is a sequel to “Watch Dogs”, a 2014 open-world action game about hacking. I was super excited about the release of the first game, going as far as pre-ordering it (which I very rarely do). And how was it when it finally came out? I think I set my expectations a bit too high. It was good, but not as great as I had hoped. But like I said, it was good and I enjoyed it, so of course I would want a sequel… and now we finally have a trailer for it! So what do we see in it? We get shots of parties, San Francisco, people, digital stuff, hacking. Yeah, it’s kind of what one could expect… sort of. As far as I get it, it’s like the first game but with a different protagonist and a different location. In the first it was Aiden Pearce, in this new game the main guy’s name is apparently Marcus (So. Fucking. Close.). Another difference is that he is black instead of white like Aiden. This is not a complaint, just a statement. We also get a switch from Chicago to San Francisco. While there wasn’t any gameplay revealed, I would suppose it plays a lot like the first game but with a few tweaks. I also expect to see some stuff for this game at E3 in a week.

Question for you guys: Did you play the first “Watch Dogs” and if so, did you enjoy it? And are you excited for this new one? Leave any and all answers in the comments. “Watch Dogs 2” has a release date set for November 15th of this year.
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!

The “Assassin’s Creed” movie now has a trailer

Hello there, my friends. Time for me to once again talk about a traile that caught my interest. The trailer we ae having a look at today (if you didn’t read it in the title) is the first trailer for the film adaptation of the “Assassin’s Creed” video game franchise. you may not know this about me, but I am a huge fan of the series, having played all of the main series games except for two (one of which wasn’t very well received by critics and gamers). So as you may expect, this is pretty huge for me. At first glance I’d say that the series is perfect for a big film adaptation. But then I remember those fucking awful “Resident Evil” movies. So you might understand my skepticism towards this film… so let’s talk about this here trailer.

Okay, so it starts with Michael Fassbender waking up in a hospital bed, with Marion Cotillard being the first thing/person he sees. And apparently he’s supposed to be dead from execution (death row, baby), so he technically no longer exists. I knew that the death row inmate thing was gonna be part of the story, but I thought it would be more like him sitting there, waiting for his death to then be pulled out into this experiment (getting ahead of myself). Then after that we see Fassy being put in a machien that these people call the “Animus” (so far, so good) which looks nothing like the Animus from the games, but whatever. So now he is experiencing his ancestor’s memories to then learn his skills and secrets for reasons I won’t get into. And from that we get a whole bunch of action set in the late 1400’s, all of it looking very much like a big screen adaptation of the “Assassin’s Creed” series. There is a lot to enjoy with this trailer, one of those things of course being Michael Fassbender who looks like he’s gonna be as great as ever in this movie. Second of all, the action scenes we see in the trailer looks a lot like the stuff from the games but in live action instead of computer graphics. This is good, this is something I like. What I also enjoy is that they slightly altered the plot/characters to set the movie apart from the games a bit. Instead of it being bartender Desmond Miles being put in the Animus, it’s death row inmate Callum Lynch. Also, Jeremy Irons looks menacing as hell in the one shot he gets. Okay, time for the bad… the song of choice. Music can make or break a trailer/movie/game, and the song they chose (a hip-hop/rap song) kind of made the thing a bit worse for me. While I don’t think they’ll use it in the movie, it still kind of bugged me.
But overall, I enjoyed the trailer. It had some great actors, great action and it looks interesting. The cast (thanks, imdb) is great and the director seems like he knows what he’s doing. “Assassin’s Creed” is set to come out on December 21st, 2016.
So what did you think of the trailer? Leave your thoughts in the comments and also tell me if you are interested in seeing the movie.
Have a good one and enjoy the trailer!
